Dear Amazing Supporters:
Once again, we want to thank you for your continued support by spreading the Branford Microfund message, keeping the fund in your heart, and by your financial support. Each of these are so important to our mission, offering that much needed ability to decrease financial worries within our town.
How are we doing? Within the first quarter of 2024 nine loans totaling $24,800 were requested. We funded $3,000.00 in the first quarter, and six additional loans are in the process of credit documentation and moving toward approval for funding. The Branford Microfund currently has 20 active loans reflecting an outstanding balance of $37,499.77.
To assist with the increasing workload of the committee, we have been seeking new board and advisory members, and recently welcomed three new board members: Rilla Dath, Alana Kaplan, and Rachel Mirsky. (Read more about them here.)
We are more than pleased to have them join us and welcome their skills and compassion as we work to expand the good work of the Microfund.
If you or you know of other people interested in joining the team, please do let us know. We are currently seeking fundraising help. On that note, we are planning another event with the Community Dining Room, watch for details coming soon!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at the Branford Festival. We were happy to see old friends, and to introduce the BMF to people who had not heard of us.
